- Boil the cherry with the pre soaked moong dal and a pinch of turmeric powder until done..
- Grind together the shredded coconut with 2 cloves of garlic, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and chilli powder..
- Add this ground paste to the dal cherry mixture and cook well till it boils..
- Once cooked..check the seasoning. Add enough salt..
- Once it is seasoned well give it a good thadka..
- For thadka. Heat the pan..add enough coconut oil.splutter the mustard and fenugreek seeds. Add the shallots and 2 cloves of chopped garlic. Now the red chillies and the curry leaves. Stir it nicely and pour it over the curry prepared and give it good stir..
